The first major trade fair in presence for a long time was a success! SONOTRONIC presented environmentally friendly packaging live in Nuremberg with a horizontal packaging machine from Tecno Pack. Legislators and consumers demand sustainability. Therefore, machine manufacturers, like our co-exhibitor this year Tecno Pack, have to face the challenge of processing recyclable materials. Particular focus is being placed on mono-material packaging to replace the previous composites.

With its new sales partner TUSONICS Türkiye Ultrasonics, the ultrasonic special machine builder SONOTRONIC is establishing a market and customer-oriented service and sales organization at the automotive location in Bursa, Turkey. The city of Bursa, located 150 kilometers south of Istanbul, is one of the most important supplier and production locations in European car manufacturing.

Our colleague Jannic Martin is the national best trainee 2020. 169 trainees are "IHK Best of the Year 2020". A special honor also for the #teamsonotronic because our colleague Jannic Martin is one of them. Jannic passed his exams with the grade "excellent" in the training occupation "technical model maker specializing in foundry". As a result, he achieved the best overall result among all IHK graduates in Baden-Württemberg and was honored as one of the state and national best 2020 graduates of an industrial-technical dual vocational training program.

For 20 years, PFAFF Industriesysteme und Maschinen GmbH from Kaiserslautern has relied on the ultrasonic welding components from SONOTRONIC Nagel GmbH, Karlsbad, and is now using them in the new fully automatic, CE-compliant mask system. The result: a solid and mature production line (made in Germany) that guarantees process reliability. And this at an output of up to 4,000 mouth and nose protection masks per hour.

SONOTRONIC Nagel GmbH has founded the subsidiary SONOTRONIC HK Ltd. together with its long-standing partner company Sanden Electronic Equipment Ltd. With this strategic step, SONOTRONIC has direct access to the Sanden production site in China. This gives SONOTRONIC customers the opportunity to commission international projects with necessary production in China and subsequent export directly under the overall responsibility of SONOTRONIC.

Four different sectors of the German middle class with one mission: to guarantee the current supply of protective masks. SONOTRONIC Nagel GmbH has equipped a complete production line with ultrasonic systems for this purpose. In further cooperation with the Fraunhofer IPT from Aachen and the mechanical engineering company IBF Automation from Freudenberg, Moss GmbH commissioned the production line. The aim: to produce up to 600,000 high-quality masks per day, assembled with ultrasonic, and all of them 100% Made in Germany.

In cooperation with Zettl Automotive GmbH, SONOTRONIC Nagel GmbH has developed a production line for the production of mouth and nose protection masks based on ultrasonic. Thanks to the innovative joining technology, protective masks are produced at several manual workstations using the ECO iSONIC ultrasonic welding machines in minute cycles.

SONOTRONIC had a lot to offer at this year's K: No less than three new products were looking forward to being presented to the international trade public at the leading trade fair in Düsseldorf. Numerous visitors came to our redesigned stand from 16 to 23 October 2019 and informed themselves about our ultrasonic solutions for plastics processing.

This year's FachPack in Nuremberg (Germany) from 24 to 26 September 2019 showed that the keyword sustainability is becoming increasingly important in the packaging industry, also with regard to the new packaging law. The aim is not only to save material or use recyclable films, but the packaging processes must also be optimized.

"Running and cycling for a good cause": This was the motto of the Health Day held at the Weckenmann fitness studio in Waldbronn on September 22 for the benefit of children and young people with illnesses. As part of the public event, visitors were able to collect kilometers on treadmills, steppers and bicycles, which were rewarded by the sponsors with 50 cents per kilometer.
