SONOTRONIC GmbH, a specialist in ultrasonic technology for standard and special-purpose machinery based in Karlsbad, has restructured its management as of 1 January 2026. Marc Hägele, a long-standing sales and technology expert within the company, and Yongwu Chen, who brings extensive international management experience, have jointly assumed responsibility for the strategic development of the company.

Only a few streets separate the two high-tech companies in the Karlsbad-Ittersbach industrial area – now they share more than just physical proximity: SONOTRONIC, a specialist in ultrasonic technology, and PartsToGo GmbH, a certified dealer and service provider for industrial 3D printing solutions, are entering into a strategic partnership.

At K 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for plastics and rubber, ultrasonic special machine manufacturer SONOTRONIC from Karlsbad will showcase pioneering innovations in ultrasonic technology from October 8 to 15 in Hall 11, Booth 11-E47.

On December 12, 2024, we had the pleasure of welcoming Nicolas Zippelius, Member of Parliament, and Tobias Breme from the Karlsbad Economic Development Agency to SONOTRONIC GmbH. Together with Managing Director Dr. Frank Meyer, Marc Hägele (CSO and Sales Director), and Heidi Ochs (Marketing), the guests gained exciting insights into the company's custom machinery manufacturing and innovative ultrasonic technology.

Under this year's anniversary motto "Joining Together," SONOTRONIC GmbH, a pioneer and reliable manufacturer of ultrasonic special machines for the plastics industry since 1974, invites you to FAKUMA 2024. The trade fair takes place from October 15 to 19, 2024, in Friedrichshafen. Visitors can look forward to an exciting presentation of innovative products that combine 50 years of expertise in ultrasonic technology at Hall 4, Stand A4-4104.

Half a century of SONOTRONIC GmbH! In June 2024, the company celebrated its 50th anniversary as a leading provider of ultrasonic special machines and a subsidiary of the DA Group. At the same time, the 60th anniversary of the sister company KSL was also in the spotlight. The festivities attracted around 350 visitors, including employees and their families, to the headquarters in Karlsbad-Ittersbach.

Two important anniversaries were celebrated in June: SONOTRONIC GmbH, a leader in the field of ultrasonic machine construction, was able to look back on a proud 50 years. At the same time, KSL, a specialist in highly automated sewing and welding robot solutions, celebrated its 60th anniversary. In honor of these milestones, the “SONIC'DAYS” took place in mid-June at SONOTRONIC's headquarters in Karlsbad-Ittersbach.

The ultrasonic special machine manufacturer SONOTRONIC from Karlsbad has a new owner. After a nine-month period of insolvency and restructuring, the company is now part of the Dürkopp Adler Group (DA Group), which in turn is part of the internationally active Shang Gong Group (SGG). Dr. Frank Meyer takes over the position of Managing Director. The acquisition of the ultrasound expert opens up new opportunities for SGG to expand its portfolio and strengthen its position in the global market. Customers can benefit from the proven products and services of the future SONOTRONIC GmbH.

Dürkopp Adler Group has announced the acquisition of SONOTRONIC Nagel GmbH, a leading company in automated ultrasonic welding technology. The purchase agreement was signed on April 28th, 2023, with the transfer of the company set to take place on July 1st, 2023.

Joining technology is of particular importance for plastics processing. For joining injection molded parts and extruded plastic parts, we use ultrasonic, hot plate or hot air technology, depending on the application. We receive tasks from all areas of the plastics processing industries.
