Optimum connections was the theme of the PLASTEC West and MD&M West trade fairs, at which SONOTRONIC Inc. was represented in February. The aim of both fairs was to present our ultrasonic special and standard machines to an international audience of experts from the fields of plastics processing and medical technology. Our Mexican representation, together with our sales manager Marc Hägele, was present at the Automotive Meetings in Mexico. There, we presented solutions for the use of ultrasonic technology in the automotive industry.
At PLASTEC West, North America's largest plastics trade show, the use of ultrasonic in the processing of injection molded parts was explained in more detail. In addition to ultrasonic welding, ultrasonic punching and ultrasonic riveting were also presented to a wide audience of experts.
In the highly sensitive medical sector, on the other hand, other joint properties are important. Namely, that the connections are absolutely tight. Ultrasonic technology and its highly effective use in the medical manufacturing world was presented at MD&M.
Our Mexican partner Grupo Bauer, together with our German sales manager in the land of the Mayas and Aztecs, demonstrated plastics processing using ultrasonic in the automotive industry. This primarily involves dynamic, individual manufacturing processes for the production of small batches via the use of ultrasonic special machines for series production through to fully automatic flexible production lines.
