Experience, continuity and international orientation
SONOTRONIC GmbH, a specialist in ultrasonic technology for standard and special-purpose machinery based in Karlsbad, has restructured its management as of 1 January 2026. Marc Hägele, a long-standing sales and technology expert within the company, and Yongwu Chen, who brings extensive international management experience, have jointly assumed responsibility for the strategic development of the company.
“SONOTRONIC has a strong technological foundation and dedicated international teams. We will build on this to drive innovation and further develop the company in a sustainable manner,” says Marc Hägele, Spokesperson of the Management Board.
- Yongwu Chen has previously served as Managing Director at SONOTRONIC and brings comprehensive experience in corporate management as well as in leading international organizational structures. In his new role, he is responsible for Finance & Controlling, Human Resources, IT, and Quality.
- Marc Hägele has been with the company since 2001 and most recently held the position of Deputy General Manager & Chief Sales Officer. As Spokesperson of the Management Board, he is responsible for Production, Procurement, Engineering, Development, and Sales. His many years of experience in sales and business development, combined with his in-depth technological and application expertise in ultrasonic technology, form a key foundation for the company’s future direction.
In addition to SONOTRONIC GmbH, the two Managing Directors are also responsible for the international subsidiaries SONOTRONIC IBERICA S.L. (Spain) and SONOTRONIC Inc. (USA), further strengthening the international orientation of the corporate group.
Since August 2023, SONOTRONIC has been part of the Dürkopp Adler Group (DA Group), which belongs to the internationally active Shang Gong Group (SGG). This integration has secured the company a stable market position, a safeguarded location, and access to an international network following a phase of restructuring and realignment. SONOTRONIC develops and manufactures highly precise ultrasonic machines and systems that are used worldwide in the plastics processing, technical textiles, packaging, and food industries. Efficiency, energy savings, and sustainability are key priorities.
SONOTRONIC would like to thank the former management team, led by Dr. Frank Meyer and Jing Fan, for their dedicated and successful work. With the experienced dual leadership team in place, the company is clearly focused on the future: innovative projects, technological advancements, and close, partnership-based collaboration with customers and international locations will be at the forefront.
