Many advantages with the use of ultrasonic
Woven fabrics are textile fabrics that are woven as wide webs. Ultrasonic can be used, among other things, to cut them to size and make them up individually. The cut edge is simultaneously welded and thus prevents fraying.
Among other things, ultrasonic punching and cutting is used for cutting to length and punching thermoplastic narrow fabric. Ultrasonic technology improves cut quality and cutting performance. In addition, the fabric can be simultaneously sealed during punching or cutting with ultrasonic, resulting in clean cut edges and preventing fraying. Due to the direct action of ultrasonic, no heating and cooling times are required when starting and stopping the machine or changing tools.
Advantages
- Consistent punching and cutting quality
- Cleanly sealed cut edges without fraying
- No thickening of cut edges, no need for subsequent flattening
- Cut & seal for multilayer textiles
- Very good process control and reliability
- Low tool wear
- Cold punching and cutting tools
- Very short cycle times
- Environmentally friendly and energy-saving
- Contact switch-off on contact between sonotrode and anvil
Realized applications are for example
- Cutting of pleated blinds
- Cut & seal of dog leashes
- Edge trimming of luggage straps
- Shape cutting of fastening straps
- Cutting of automotive seat belts
- Ultrasonic welding and cutting of monofilament fabrics, e.g. velcro tapes
- Punching and welding of non-woven fabrics for the production of a membrane (cut & seal process)
- Ultrasonic welding of elastic textile tapes and injection molded parts
- Cutting to length and cutting of nonwovens or fabrics - cut edges are sealed
- Ultrasonic joining of fleece and Velcro, without adhesives or additional materials
