Flexibility in production is achieved with state-of-the-art robot technology in combination with highly developed ultrasonic devices. The experience from many successfully realized projects gives us the know-how to develop robotic systems for small series as well as flexible manufacturing solutions in industrial large format. Robot technology can be efficiently combined with ultrasonic technology.
One possibility is to load and discharge the work pieces automatically, using robots. In this particular case the robots transport the work pieces to the working areas where they are welded or punched by ultrasonic. A special coupling system on the robots, quick tool changing and individual programming thus provide the possibility of flexible production: different applications can be executed on different work pieces on one single system.
On the other hand, robots can also be used to process workpieces directly using ultrasonic technology. In this case, the ultrasonic welding or punching tools are fixed directly to the robot arms, whilst the workpieces are positioned in the holders provided. A variable holder design coupled with quick tool change and individual software programming also enable flexibility in production here.
The use of flexible robot systems increases the efficiency of small batch / spare part series production.
By using robot machine concepts, workpieces can be loaded and unloaded automatically. Robots equipped with ultrasonic tools offer maximum flexibility in welding processing when, for example, individual extensions for variants and facelifts are added.
